setup by charging. Plug the given USB cable into the socket of the device. Plugin the
standard USB end into the adapter and then put it into the wall plug. Try to ensure that the Echo
Dot is in the center of the room. This helps the device to hear you properly from any corner
of the room. Not to worry as the echo dot already comes with 7 inbuilt microphones. So it
will hear you anyways. Once your Echo Dot Setup, you will see a blue light. Then the light
will turn into an orange ring after initialization and Alexa will let you know that you’re ready
to go online.
Firstly download the Alexa app. You will have to use a computer, smartphone or tablet to
set up your device, as the Echo Dot doesn’t come with a screen. Start by installing the
Amazon Alexa app on your device. Alexa app is available on Android smartphones/ ios
devices. Now log in to Alexa app if you are an existing user, otherwise create a new account.
Once you log in to your account, a list of available Echo devices will be shown. Select the
‘Echo Dot’ option and confirm your language. Click the connect to the Wi-Fi option and then
press ‘Continue.’ Echo Dot Wi-Fi App Set your phone will now try to connect to your Echo
Dot.
Then the app will ask you to long press and hold the action button on the Dot for a
a couple of seconds if this doesn’t seem to work. Tap the ‘Continue’ button Once the device
is found. It’s now time to connect Alexa to WiFi. Tap the name of your connection and enter
the correct credentials. Press ‘Connect’ and the Echo will now get online. Hearing your
EchoHow you want to hear the Echo device can also be decided by you. There are 3 options
available-
1) Audio cable
2) Bluetooth
3)No speakers.
You will be allowed to connect a device via Bluetooth or audio cable by the echo dot. Better
audio is provided by the audio cable. If you don't want any of these options then you can
just use Dot’s speakers instead. Hurray! The Amazon Alexa Setup is now complete!

Using Alexa After completing the setup process you will also be offered some free trials from Prime
Music and Amazon Prime.
